Life's Still Going On.....

Well.. i know i haven been blogging and the blog been kinda dead for weeks..
So ta-dah! im here to give some updates!

FIRST THING FIRST!

Congratulations to all the juniors that have made it through Foreign Bodies Auditions! U guys have been great.. Always have a good learning attitude and a passion for dance! it will bring u guys far.. but of course with loads of hardwork and practices.. =))

Come to think of it.. i kinda get back the nostalgic feeling of the time when i first step into the studio last year for FB orientation... and played the same game that they played... the ABCD game... it has realli been a wonderful journey for mi as a junior in FB.. and i hope that all the junior can have the same great journey as a junior as well in FB! ALL the best! Jiayou! =)))

Alright.. i have been realli busy for the past few weeks... School work is giving mi a toll on life... So many assignments.... Next week is like presentations week.. meaning formal wear and tie... talk and talk and talk.. and also the deadline for all the respective assignment.. how i wish time can like freeze here.. so i can do all that i wanna do .. hahha! but dun worry.. im managing...

And also.. School work aside.. been busy with Strikeforce and NDP training as well..
There has been some slight changes so hence i wont be playing Global Day of Prayer.. but instead i will be playing for MINI- EMERGE!!! hahahaa..

Im super excited when i got the news.. because i have never been to emerge.. would realli love to go.. but this time... i had a greater blessing.. is that i get to go and i also get to even perform for it... hence im realli excited!

Went for NDP trainin on Thursday... and we finally get to see the drums for NDP!! its WHITE... and it just simply look superbly cool! i saw the Quad- Tomes that i will be playing for NDP... and i have to say... 'oh man.. that ting is heavy'... the quad tomes was realli kinda heavy when i carried it... but overall.. it sounded not bad and the sticking and playing is just cool... we just have to be a lil more tighter and be able to play along with the metroneum.. then im sure the whole segment will be Dope. =)

Updates...

Hey guys... back to update some stuff...

Shall try my best not to leave stagnant at this rather depressing stage of my life.. somehow seems like things aint going smooth in my life.. but i just wanna realli extend my thanks to all those that are around mi.. encouraging mi and being realli patient with mi...

I'm still realli trying very hard to not go and think so much about wat happened on last friday...

Went for Drum Training today to prepare for the upcoming Gigs on May 31st.. its gonna be a big one.. for its the Global Day of Prayer (GDOP)... so hence realli needa train hard..

Learnt bout cross hand drumming today.. and somehow.. at that moment it seems like history is repeating itself... Was told to come up one by one to do cross hand drumming.. and of course that haunting memory came back... so i kept training and doing till i can reach a certain speed... but its exactly as wat happened at FB audition..

I was doing well DURING practices.. but when i went up.. things went wrong.. and just now when i went up.. everyone was confident that i can do it... because they saw mi practices with my sticks.. but history repeated itself again.. before i could even start.. i cant even remember the first hit... but thankfully to my strikeforce mates.. they were more relaxed and they just encourages mi... and i managed to finished cross hand drumming in a pretty fast speed... as in the speed of drumming..

Alright.. shall update some NDP stuff...

NDP rehearsals has been going well.. at least for mi ... i kinda enjoyed every single NDP trainings.. Kept learning new tings and improving in my beats..

Later on is NDP trainings for Drumline.. pretty nervous.. the cheorographer has decided to choose onli 24 drummers to perform for the segment... realli hope im one of them.. after learning and training so hard for it.. wouldnt realli want to end up being a reserve.. i do hope ALL 30 drummers will get to perform!

And also.. im looking forward to one of the segments that strikeforce will be playing in NDP.. we are playing with Stuff likes Ladders, Oil barrels, Railing etc etc... and wats even cooler is that we will be entering the stage in Rescue Trailers!
p.s: rescue trailers are like those fire engine...

Disappointed

Seriously right now.. i have no words to describe how disappointed i am with myself...

everything that can went wrong with mi today had all went wrong...

Firstly, in class lab session... i accidentally caused a power trip in the entire lab and because of that.. the entire class... some of them didnt save their work.. and its 3D drawings... and the lecturer has no way of getting the electricity back hence the class was dismissed early.. after drawing for 3 hours plus... i was alreadi on the verge of killing myself for causing that... i realli didnt mean to but the facts remain that i caused an electric short circuit and people's 3 hours of hard work and drawings has all been gone to waste...

Secondly, for FB audition, i should have just know better to glue myself to the floor and sit there... but no.. i had to screw everything up... i have nothing to say bout how bad and lousy i was...

For now.. i realli have no words other than disappointment and more disappointment in myself...

it has come to a point whereby i feel that 'sorry" no longer works for mi to say that.. i dunno wat i can do to redeem myself from all that mistakes... i realli dont know..

Later on is National Day Parade Rehearsals from 1pm to 8pm.. i dunno how im gonna bring myself to do that after what has happened.

Disappointed.

Feeling kinda depressed...

i'm sorry that i can be quite an irritant sometimes.. yes.. i know that...
i will try my best to change... but please guys.. give mi some time...

Just a Little Update (i guess)

Alrighty! i have just woke up not long ago at 3am.... to finish up some assignments that i have on hand... all the mundane stuff that has to be done... (Yes.. this is how crazy i can get when it comes to work!)

Im currently Spamming Kenny G's Music on my Notebook man... His music just never fails to calm mi down when everything is in their ups and downs... i was just thinking if im in the US right now... I'll probably do the same ting in a nice cozy room drinking Latte or Cappucino.. Working my ass off but yet enjoy and indulge in the simplest ting at the same time.

So let mi see wat can i update....

National Day Parade!

Alright.. there has been some changes to NDP performances regarding the drumming parts.. so hence i will be playing the drums!!!! instead of the tamborins... and its gonna be in this segment whereby onli less than 30 drummers will be on stage drumming in the drumline... its superbly cool i have to say...

Went for NDP training on Labour Day and i have to say its definitely a time i realli learnt something new... to be honest.. i never read music scores before and i dunno how to either... but thanks to all my great mate from Strikeforce... they realli taught mi slowly as to how to realli read and understand music scores... Thanks Guys!

Then the NDP Chairman ( i tink) came and spoke to us to say welcome and stuff... and he actually somehow told us the programme of NDP and when we come out and perform and stuff ... i dunno if i can release anything on my blog for now because the press has not released yet... but this year... its truly different from the other years.. because Drumming will be heavily focused in this year NDP... and just by listening to wat he say.. i have to say i felt excited for it... and no doubt this will be my biggest show ever.....

The Chairman even break down the numbers of people we will be performing to...

1 show @ Marina Bay, The Float = 27,000 People
5 shows @ Marina Bay, The Float = 27,000 X 5 = 135,000 people
(4 previews and 1 actual show)

And of course the actual show will include live recording and plus the nations watching.. that will be... Millionsssss!!!!

Okaye alright.. hes just trying to stress how big the show is and how focus we have to be because if one person make a mistake.. its pretty obvious especially in drumming because its is sounds and stuff...

alright.. lets move on!

Foreign Bodies!

Okaye... Audition is this upcoming thursday and friday @ A239, right beside Theatre for the Arts!

Im amazed as to how time can really flies... So fast im a senior alreadi! it just realli seem like its yesterday that i have made a big decision to even try out the auditions @ Fbodz... and of course after that.. going for practice every friday... just kinda miss the good old days... now that we are all seniors... time will be allocated to the new batch of Juniors that are coming in... and as a matter of fact.. i seriously have no confidence in becoming a senior.. because i seriously know my vocab in DAnce is still super limited... and i shld have known alot more than wat i know by now.. and i realli gotta improve in DAnce... no matter wat it is... i still have to improve!!!

i guess like im so caught up with so many activities nowadays that as i look back.. i kinda miss the guy who started out confidently in Dance.. even when he just knew that lil much on DAnce... i guess if u guys look back as well.. u all will agree that the confident boy whos never afraid to try, even though he might be wrong, is somehow missing in action... i hope he comes back soon....

Nonetheless.. all the best to all those that are going for the Audition to try to get into Fbodz... GOOD LUCK!

A Small Little Thank....

i was on the bus the other day and i was just thinking.. how come im so caught up with so many tings nowadays... but then looking at it from another angle... somehow God has realli blessed mi in the tings that i realli wanted...

i never knew i would get into FBodz... but somehow in some part of myself.. i do realli wanna be a part of it... and God just realli knows.. i mean he knows all things! -.-
but getting into FBodz... it certainly changed my life in one big turn... Knowing all the hiphopish and probably the coolest people in my life ever has certainly enriched my life even more...

i just wanna thank FBodz for helping mi become wat i am today because if its not for them.. i'll probably still be someone who doesnt know much bout Dance and still thinks im damn good in dance.. so yea.. thanks FBodz for realli letting me know what Dance realli is!

For Strikeforce... i haven forgotten u guys.. although it has been just a mere 2 months ever since we all got to know each other.. but i feel realli good and fantastic being able to drum along with u guys... and one amazing ting bout my entry to strikeforce is that... on the day i signed up... they were SUPPOSEDLY to end their recruitment.. but they have requested to have one more day of recruitment.. and so happened.. i signed up on that day...

actually i have given alot of thoughts about joining... and there is this part of mi that is urging mi to Join... and somehow.. when i wrote the applications and go thru the interviews.. i just know i have to go ahead with it.. even though im all alone when i first joined...

And amazingly.. i got in as well.. i dunno wats the reason that im chosen (the same goes for FB).. but watever the reason is.. im sure God has His ways of doing tings...

I just feel realli blessed to be in these 2 big families of Foreign Bodies and Strikeforce Respectively... and yes.. definitely the greatest thanks goes to HIM for blessing mi with all these wonderful people in my life...

Alright... shall stop here!! i've wrote more than wat i planned to.. its supposed to be a LITTLE update... guess it aint that little anymore.. =x
