Random Update....

Didnt go to school today.. due to a realli bad Sore throat and a running temperature in my body.. felt totally weak from top to toe...

i know i have been realli into NDP... hahaha.. even this morning when i woke up.. intending to go to sku.. but yet felt weak all over.. the first thoughts that came to my mind aint school or projects.. its more of like.. "damn.. why now i fall sick?! i have to get well by Saturday!"

hmm how to put it.. hahahaa.. i guess like in a week.. school is so mundane enough that the only ting i look forward to is saturday.. due to NDP.. its like the time i can realli let go and not tink of anything else... and enjoy my time in NDP with the rest of the strikeforce peeps..

But However.. im heading school tmr... because i have tons of work needa finished up.. wanted to like get some tings done today though im at home.. but my energy level is realli low.. slept like 6 hours in the afternoon... LOL!

Okaye.. remember strikeforce did a video trailer of NDP for the church? well.. heres the vid!

Festival Of Praise (FOP) is Coming Right up! hahha Tmr to be exact.. from the 31st July to 2 Aug! but sadly... im onli going for the one on 2 Aug...

cox i guess like tmr i had some many tings to do... and i onli end sku at like 5 plus 6.. by time i reach the indoor stadium.. i would be refuse entry as the service has started... then on 1 Aug.. is NDP Preview 1 (for the public)... so hence can onli make it for FOP on sunday the 2nd of Aug...

ALL the best for those strikeforce peeps that are involved in FOP performance! wished i could perform as well.. but oh well.. i cant always have tings my way... others needa have a chance at that too... =D

im just hoping something will change... and then i will be in F1 Gig for strikeforce... or Youth Olympic Games... but if not... well.. the earth still rotates.. HAHAH!

im not gonna be like sad or anything just cox i didnt get into these Gigs... because i know there will be more gigs coming.. and it gives mi more time to train on pieces like flightphesy... and FHW (the water drums)... and then by then... i will be good enough to realli play for other gigs before i hit the Botak Journey next year!

on another note... Foreign Bodies is performing at DXO on 1 Aug.. right next to Floating platform! hahaha! so do lend ur support if u wanna watch Foreign Bodies performance.. if im not wrong.. its 8.30pm at DXO... =)
u can get to see fireworks there too! (okaye.. thats realli random) HAHA!

Finale To The National Education Show Trilogy!

Alright.. so its the last show for all the p5 kids... and well.. i guess they realli did a great job in making the finale for the kids! the fireworks were alot more than NE2!

Hmm.... well.. kinda sad that NDP is realli coming to an end.. like its been a realli great journey for all of us... from dun realli know each other to realli play together as one... it has been a great fulfilling journey and experience for me...

To be honest... a few months back... when i was told i was chosen to perform for NDP.. i just see it as another big event ... and the thoughts of being involved in it didnt realli sink in... it was when we hit the floating platform.. then i came to realise and the tot realli sink in.. and it sink in deep...

alright alright.. shall talk more bout last week NE 3!

The disabled and elderly gets to watch NDP as well! hahaha! i tink its realli a memorable day for all of them.. from wat i heard.. some of them are watching NDP live for the first time in their entire life...

Hmmm.. my dad and sis came... and they thoroughly enjoyed the show! i asked them for their feedback.. and i tink for my dad.. its realli different.. its been a realli long time since he last watch and NDP live.. and wats more on the Floating platform... and he realli enjoyed it!

During break time.. We did a filming for the church video announcement.. afterall.. strikeforce is from the church.. and the church wanna keep the members updated of wat is the happenings and stuff going on in the church.. so hence we did a video filming and some photo shoot for the video announcement.. hahaha..

afterwhich.. got prepared for the big show in the evening... and wah lahh.. heads off for the big show.... hahaha!

While waiting backstage for chapt 5... haha! i manage to shake hands with Gurmit Singh.. and we took pictures with him and Michelle Chong as well.. but so far.. i haven got the pics... shall post it up when i got it! =D

NDP National Educational Show 2!

Alright.. Finally able to blog.... wanted to blog a few days ago.. but blogger seem to have some problem.. the create post box literally went missing... cannot take it and decided to do something bout it.. and wah lah... problem solved! hence im blogging again!

OKAYE! NE 2!

hmmm i would say it wasnt as high as NE 1 because there is no rain.. but it all went super smooth... nice weather and great atmosphere i must say.. the p5 kids for NE 2 are so much better than Ne 1 i would say ( i tink)... hahahaa!

this time i brought everything and made sure i didnt left anything at home! hahaha!

hmmm... did a performance for Okto Channel and Suria... as you can see.. there is a camera man running around.. yuppz.. thats the mediacorp cameraman...

well... i have to say i do enjoy Bloco Singapura Performance.. their music is more groovy.. hahaha.. well.. u cant see me in the vid because im at the other side from the view of the camera and also kena blocked by David's big Bass! hahhaa!

hmmm.. did a few rehearsals in the afternoon... and man was it surprising... didnt know that the army guys (marching contingent) are resting at the seats to watch the total defence display.. and when we went out.. i was pretty shocked to see all the seats near the podium filled...

all along i tot the rehearsals was gonna be nobody there... so didnt realli prepare to perform infront of all those army guys.. so moral of the story... every practice is a performance and every performance is a performance.. NOW i get it! hahaha! always be prepared...

SO i did wat i have to do.. and well.. the army guys aint too bad.. they were cheering mi all the way... and as i was walking back.. i didnt know that the commander was sitting there watching me as well! he spoke to me and complimented.. realli glad that he enjoyed it...

went up to the podium for the evening show.... and something funnie happen.. i tink that day is the "drop stick" day... some of us dropped our stick while playing.. and that include me.. i dropped my stick.. but mine is not so bad... i managed to catch it before it hits the ground.. hahaha..

then chapter 5.. another shocking one.. hahaha.. went up... took the grinder... on the switch..and the grinder did not even move an inch! LOL! immediately took out my stick and start drumming alreadi.. hahaha.. it was at a later part after the performance that they told us the guy whos in charge of the electricity on my side of the stage was on MC... so hence that night.. the power was not on for my side.. hence grinder didnt move.. and no sparks...

But no worries.. im sure this week its gonna be better!
Upcoming NE 3! my dad and my sis will be coming.. just passed my 2 tickets to them... i tink this is the first time for my dad to watch NDP at the floating platform.. hahaha.. shall ask him how it is after the show! wahhahaa!

The Very FIRST NDP National Education Show!

Whoo Hoo! NDP First National Education show was realli successful! Everyone realli enjoyed themselves thru out the entire show!

Lets break it down from the morning !

Reached Eunos Station at bout 1030am to grab the chartered bus by NDP people.. and then waited for time to pass... and then something shocking came... Glorianne arrived and i saw her shoe bag... and i realised i FORGOT my costume shoes! it literally dawned on mi that out of all the tings i brought.. i left out one of the most important item..

Called my dad immediately to ask him to bring it down for mi to cityhall station... realli thanks to him for bringing my shoes down.. if not i can forget bout performing for that day....

Rushed down to the F1 grand stand to meet up with the rest.. and headed out to the holding area... Had a dry run at our podiums.. and this time.. all of us were given In ear monitor (I.E.M).... its sounds kinda cool though.. like everytime we watch concerts and stuff.. we often see those artists wearing ear monitors..and sometimes i do wonder wat they are they listening.. is it the people talking at the controls or is it the musics that they are supposed to do???

and so this time.. i had one myself too.. and for mine.. we are listening to the music that we have to play..and play according to the what we hear from the ear monitor...

we were told to perform even if its a dry run.. so i gave my best shot.. did watever i could on my podium.. and wats realli delighted mi was when i was walking back to the stairs.. those army officers that was around my area spoke to mi and complimented me for my performance.. was realli delighted that they enjoyed the "performance"

back at the holding area.. rested... lunched... slacked.. chill.... to be honest.. almost 70% of the time at NDP rehearsals.. we were chillin and slackin.. heading to 7-11 for drinks... cam whore... and stuff...

then not long after we rested.. we got changed into our costume to prepare for the actual preview in the evening.. and then.. we saw an incoming of ladies.... the make up artist... hahaha! well.. felt like a star though... had professional make up artists to help with the make up... although im quite reluctant for the make up.. but no choice...

Had some photo shoots with "The Straits Times" Newspaper as they are featuring Neo in it.. Bloco Singapura was on Newpaper... then after that.. it was Camwhore time all the way!

Headed to the Floating Platform for the actual Preview... and man was i having major butterflies in my stomach... its like the real deal alreadi.. even though its just a NE show... Headed out and the next ting i saw was tons and tons of Cameras and flashlights! the kids all have camera sia... talk bout generation gap eh... p5 kids holding Digi cam...

and of course not onli the kids... the NDP photographer as well with their High Def Canon DSLR and Nikon...

Stood up at my podium and the sight was just simply awesome.. one whole sea of kids in red.. and then the music came... Performed like to the max and thoroughly enjoyed myself performing... and then 1 rolling camera (as in those that broadcast) and 2 NDP photographers with the cameras were right infront of me snapping me right in the face.. hahahaa... BUT somehow.. i tink i not good looking.. so dun have the pics.. tried finding it.. but dun have..must be the looks i tink.. hahaha!!

okok... get back to topic...

Changed for Chapt 5... and Grinded sparks and played for the chapter... super shiok the feeling... indescribable! Must watch chapt 5! u wont wanna miss it... Ian told us that if got chance... we ourselves must watch chapt 5.. because its a chapt that is one of the highlights.. and the music.. lighting effects, pyro and fireworks are realli amazing...

Then changed, again, to get ready for the Grand Finale...

Headed out to the stage for the grand finale... and we were alreadi quite high.. but guess wat! when the fireworks shoot up.. the moment it went.. just AS IF it was planned... THE RAIN POURED! and it gets bigger and bigger!

BUT Nobody flinged or tried seeking for shelter.. all of us stood there and partied even more like nobody business.... the rain just simply added an even higher climax to the entire finale.. the Kids were too high themselves too! Even the Minster of Defence, Mr Teo Chee Hean, was in the rain himself.. he was soaked too... but i guess this is wat we call one united people...

it was also my very first time seeing and being in an NDP whereby it rained... first time singing the National Anthem and saying the pledge in the rain... it was definitely a very memorable experiences for all of us... one that would realli last make us realli remember that day of NDP 2009 very first NE show...

To sum it up... i would say NDP NE Show 1 Rocked the most till date... but im sure on the actual day.. it will be even better!

....Updates....

Alright... in the midst of studying..for the paper later on at 430pm... well.. taking a break hence gonna come here and update some stuff...

Many tings have been going recently... NDP Combined Rehearsals.. Common tests and also the demise of one of my uncles.

The Demise

Although im not realli close to him... and its like i onli see him once a few years.. been a long time i last saw him... didnt realli had a good impression of him also when i was young.. but somehow as i sat at the service, i can realli see that even though he hasnt realli been the realli good guy to probably some of my relatives, but they still care alot for him... they were realli crying and tearing at the demise of him...

he wasnt very old either... it realli brought mi to light that no matter how bad one is... there are still people that cares and concern about the person... because everyone makes mistakes in life.. and even if the whole world dun stand by you, parents and relatives will always be the ones there standing right next to you.

Probably to me, he may not be someone realli that significant.. because im realli not close to him, but seeing how my aunts and the rest were, it does show that he is significant to someone else.. to them.. and he most probably had made some really good memories and happy fond memories in their life when he is still around.

Rest in Peace.

Alright moving on!

Last saturday was NDP combined rehearsal 3! it was one hell of a crazy day for all of us.. How to put it? it was one of the rehearsals with the most screw ups and yet it was also one of the rehearsals whereby we had the most fun!

well.. Combined Rehearsal 3 was a special one because they have allowed 20,000 people to watch.. its open to SAF participants' families and friends because i tink if im not wrong.. its the SAF family day or something... whereby the NSF get to see their families and stuf.. but for those participant (NSF)... they were given tickets to invite their parents and friends to come and watch.. so hence explain the 20,000 audiences.

For screw ups, because of the tight security, they have kept blocking us from getting access to places whereby we needa get there... and we were told that we are not bounded by them.. so in other words.. they actually have no rights to stop us..

for the show in the evening.. we were told to go to this location at the stairs.. but yet we were blocked.. time was running out.. they realli dun let us go... in the end Ian screamed at the MP and we just heck care chiong all the way to our position... To be honest.. i tink quite alot of us were pissed at them as well. alot of miss communication and stuff.. but then again.. rehearsals are meant to be screwed up so that problem can be rectify and solved for a better outcome of the actual show.....

Now the FUN part! Im grinding sparks for one of the chapters.... and YES.. finally this time they provided us with the grinder and the power socket for us.. so i was literally enjoying myself and grinding sparks effect for the performance.. i bet all the grinders were exhilerated and was enjoying the grinding.. hahaa!

The whole Show took its climax at the finale.. Loads of fireworks were shot and the atmosphere was super high... everyone was like partying like crazy on the stage.. hahaha! overall it was realli a great show despite the screw ups

OH yea! this year concept is different in terms of the show is not in act 1 or act 2 etc etc.

watch it as if u were reading a book.. everything is in chapters.. total of 10 chapters. and the whole show concept is based on the pledge.. meaning to say every chapter.. each chapter is part of the pledge.. and it shows the beginning of singapore to the recent date of singapore..

i hope with the elaboration.. u guys can enjoy the show a lil better...
