Feeling somehow kinda empty....
Its 1:50am in the morning.. sitting in my room feeling kinda empty... somehow... alot of things went thru my brain and im feeling the headache.....
Pretty disappointed at this juncture with how some of my friends were.. i know i dun have the right to say about anybody.. but ....
Im sure recently.. all of u have heard of the Miss World Singapore Pageant, and with regards to Miss World herself...
soo.. some of my friends has shared with mi her youtube vids.. the one with leopard prints and whatnots... i admit the first time i watched it... i laughed... then it hit mi hard... and the following few days.. the vid was everywhere.. everyone sharing the vid with mi.. different version of how people made fun of her....
i was disappointed that those hurtful words came out from my friends.. christians friends... after i watched the vids... and i stopped and paused.. and realise that why am i even laughing at something that is not even supposed to laugh at...
i heard so many criticism with regards to her from my friends... okay.. lets put it this way... how would u feel if u are the one in her shoes?
let say u won something big.. and everyone is focusing on ur shortcomings, like hmm... u are short.. people dun like ur face.. how would u feel?
yes.. no doubt she won Miss World.. for wat reason i dunno... but since she has alreadi won.. she must have something that has of values and traits of a Miss World.. hence she won...
Everyone has shortcomings.. im sure u have urs too... but are we there to help each other up.. or laugh and trample on each other with their shortcomings? i tink the least we shld even do is to not laugh at her.
God has told us to love our enermies just as we love our neighbour... and the last shall be first and the first shall be last...
i mean dont she knows she have this shortcoming? im sure she do... and she is just not realli that eloquent in speech... and it must have taken her courage to even sign up for it... Shouldnt we focus on her good points instead of her bad? instead of pulling her down with her shortcoming... shouldnt we encourage her to press on and Shine for Singapore?
just put urself in her shoes, how will she feels when she won this award.. and yet the entire nation is pulling her down for something that she is not good at? everyone has good points and bad ones too... maybe she is more of a mathes and science student.. instead of languages? i dunno.. but i just feel that... everyone has weaknesses.. and she won the award based on her own strength..
if u wanna talk about being a nation, we cant even stand with her and edify her and encourage her when she represent singapore, wats there to talk about being a nation? everytime someone won something, there is bound to have talks on how bad the person is and whatnots.. so wats there to talk about representing singapore when we cant even stand together as one?
through this incident.. although it doesnt concern me, but i saw humanity.. i saw the reflection of how i used to be in the past... i saw the other side of people...
i guess thats all i wanna say... gonna hit the sack...
